Promoting Healthy Relationships at All Levels

This three-hour training will provide a thorough overview of the public health issue of teen dating violence, which includes:

  • Defining teen dating violence

  • Sharing local and national data

  • Describe warning signs and types of abuse

  • Short and long term effects of dating violence

  • Resources for support

The presenter will share best practices to prevent and address teen dating violence at all levels (individual, relationship, community and policy levels) including strategies that the Violence Prevention Program is implementing to promote healthy relationships county-wide. The three-hour training is designed for youth-serving organizations, educators and other youth providers who are interested in building their knowledge and skills to promote healthy relationships and prevent teen dating violence.
